Nepal

Tourist Visas Applications can be obtained online at – https://nepaliport.immigration.gov.np/ before your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu. Click on Visa on arrival and select your entry point which is most likely to be Tribhuvan International Airport. Once completed it will be in on their system when you arrive. You can only complete it within the 14 days before your arrival in Nepal otherwise it will be no longer on their system. Once completed print it and keep a copy for your arrival at the airport in Kathmandu. On arrival at Tribhuvan Airport you make way to the visa payment collection desk and pay the appropriate fee for the length of your stay in Nepal. You need to then show your receipt of payment at the immigration point to prove you have paid the correct visa fee.

Visas can be obtained only through payment of cash in the following currency –
Euro, Swiss Franc, Pound Sterling, US Dollar, Australian Dollar, Canadian Dollar, Hong Kong Dollar, Singapore Dollar and Japanese Yen.

Credit card, Indian currency and Nepali currency are not accepted as payment of visa fee.

Costs of visa are as follows –
Multiple entry   15 days            US$ 30 or equivalent convertible currency
Multiple entry   30 days            US$ 50 or equivalent convertible currency
Multiple entry   90 days            US$ 125 or equivalent convertible currency

Once you have paid your fee you can make your way to one of the immigration booths that say “without visa”. The online form you completed before you left will be on their system. Hand over your passport and receipt of payment and you will then receive back your passport with appropriate visa inside.

Bhutan

Indian, Bangladeshis and Maldivian nationals can obtain a visa at the port of entry on producing a valid passport with a minimum of 6 month validity (Indian nationals may also use their Voters Identity Card (VIC)). 

All other tourists must obtain a visa clearance prior to travel to Bhutan.  Visas are processed through an online system by Temples of Nirvana.   

You are required to send the photo-page of your passport to us and we will then apply for your visa.  The visa will be processed by the Tourism Council of Bhutan (TCB) once the full payment of your holiday has been recieved. The visa clearance will be processed within 72 working hours. 

At your point of entry you will be required to show your visa clearance letter, the visa will then be stamped into your passport.

Tibet

If you’re planning to visit Tibet with us then you are most likely looking to entering Tibet from Kathmandu. We will submit your Tibet Permit application to the Tibetan Tourism Bureau with the information you have supplied in good time before your arrival in Nepal. It usually takes up to 2 weeks for the Visa Invitation to arrive at the Chinese embassy in Kathmandu.

You will most likely need a minimum 4 days in Kathmandu before you move on to Tibet. On handing over your passport to us and appropriate visa fee we can then complete the application form for the group visa. Once we have it we will bring it to you at your hotel. You will need the group visa to enter Tibet. Your Tibetan guide will then be waiting for you with your Tibet Permit
